He became pretty good friends with her and one thing that I remember he told me was that Vicki was one of the only people that could make him smile or laugh when he was down or in a crummy mood. I know that Last Call is coming up in exactly two weeks for this year and I wanted to pay my respects. As I said, I did not know Vicki, but I wish that I could have made it up to York to visit my brother because I really wish that I could have met her. From what he has told me, she had a quirky sense of humor and was always up for fun and laughs-the type of person I get along with best. As a mother and avid supporter of causes, this is one of extreme importance. Through educating teens on this subject it can possibly spare another family the pain of losing a young loved one. No one should ever have to experience that heartache.
Children of all ages should be taught the dangers of excessive alcohol use. We tend to minimalize this problem because it is a socially acceptable form of drug use. It is legal and associated with festivity. College campuses nationwide sweep the negative effects under their proverbial rugs. It's time to expose the issue starting at the elementary and middle school level. What a better time to begin awareness than BEFORE these kids hit the college years??
Anyway I can help, I would most honored to do so. As parents, we are all in this together. God Bless your family and your continued strength.

i lost my poppop to alcohol poisoning right around the time we lost vicki.
I just picked my shirt up yesterday... i wore it to work today and got alot of questions about.

Last Call will be held on November 27th the day Vicki's family and friends lost her to a night of drinking in the freshman dorms on the Campus of York College of Pennsylvania.
It is our hope that we can get people to take a day and recognize the risks and symptoms of alcohol poisoning. We are certain that with a little knowledge and friends that choose to watch eachother's back we can save lives.
So please take the day, November 27th and put down that alcoholic beverage in memory of Victoria... It's one day that can save a life.. | | | | | |
